The clock struck four and the tea party started. After the all the blood was spilled and the Asylum belonged to the inmates and the rats most stayed within its walls and decided to make their prison their home. But some, whom became known the Mad Girl Pyrates, decided to strike out and were determined to to find their new home, a ship called the Raven, and take to the seas leaving the civilized world behind. The crew of the Raven were smart. They knew their ship wouldn't just be waiting for them. They would have to find her and take her, most likely the same way they they took their old home. They took their time looking for her, building their strength and their captain teaching them how to sail with stolen books. They stole everything they needed food, clothing, books, and even weapons. They were on the streets for months, learning very quickly dodging the police was actually easier then dodging the chasers. They found an abandon building and stayed their using guards to keep watch at all hours. Everyone had a job and a role similar to what it will be when they get their ship. We use a combination of our old inmate numbers, as to never forget where we came from, and our names and have not only became not only closer friends but a dysfunctional family.

I may be the captain of this crew but I always tell them that does not make me better then the rest of them. I sit in the basement of the abandon building sharpening my cutlass. I know its a dated weapon, I stole it from an antique shop, but what better symbol of a pirate captain is there. my hair now is cleaner then in the Asylum and it has been braided by some of the others with feathers of Jackdaw, Rooks, and of course Ravens woven in. I brush it behind my ear and smile over at W18R. "Ow Miss Cassandra! what does my navigator see tonight?"

I kiss her head "That is a good thing. we just need to wait for word on either The Raven or the log book with her travel dates" I examine my sword "have you been practicing your fighting?" I ask

It has been months since the tea party massacre. Me and the other girls who left are residing in an old warehouse on a hill overlooking one of Londons smaller ports, a good place to watch for opportunity. I am happy to be so near the sea.
I have spent my time since the fated uprising studying very hard. I took a medical kit from the Asylum and have been reading extensively so that I can help any of our crew who are harmed or sick. I have also been taking many lessons on fighting from my dear friends, becoming quite skilled with my sword, and even more so with throwing knives. I feel more accomplished and happy than I ever have.
Tonight I sit upstairs, reading the poetry book I took with me to the Asylum. My good rat friends returned it when it was taken from me, and it is the last piece of the life I left behind so many years ago.

I climb up the stairs and curl up beside W05W, placing my head on her lap and listening to her read. It's been a month since the Tea Party Massacre, but it feels like a lifetime. When we killed the doctors and Chasers, a part of me wanted to stay behind with the other girls, but in my heart I am a wild animal and belong in nature.
Despite this, I took from the Asylum the copies of 'Call of the Wild' and 'White Fang'. Now that we are free, I am determined to learn how to read them. The smarter girls who came with us, like W05W, are helping me with the hard words. Apparently, most of them are in a strange book called a 'dictionary', which isn't really a book at all because it holds no stories. It's just a long list of words and their meanings. 'Humans are so strange sometimes...'

"well maybe we will train more later" that moment one of the girls on the thieving shift came in. "captain! we got another one" she hands me a large book
"very good. thank you. no go fetch all who are out, its getting dark" I stand and head up the stairs holding the hand of W18R "Ow Doc!" I call out to W05W, I started calling her that since I gave her the position of the Crew Doctor as well as log keeper "we got another book" I hand her the book for the entire time we have been free I had everyone stealing shipping companies log books to try and find our ship. This one said "East India Company. August" on the front "see if our girl is in here? remember they are calling her The Ice Pick"

I nod and take the newest log, then settle in to scan through the logged comings and goings of the ships. This one is from the largest port in London. "If she'll dock anywhere it here ladies." I say hopefully.

I've been pouring over the new log for hours, my candle burnt low and wolfie sleeping soundly at my side, when finally I see what I am looking for. I gently move W03Zs head from my lap and then jump up and rush over to W22F who is on guard at the moment. "I've found her Captain," I whisper excitedly, "She docks at the port of London in less than a fortnight! This is our chance!"

When I feel W05W move my head, I slowly wake up. "We're leaving?" I ask. "Then I must howl for Pip. I can't leave without him." I chew my lip nervously, biting things has always relieved stress. I know bringing a wolf on a boat is a lot to ask, but I just can't leave my brother.
